Our story

thelunesse is a loungewear, sleepwear and lingerie house built for the private hours — slow mornings, unhurried evenings, and the long stretches of stillness in between. We design in a restrained palette of naturals and shadow tones, favouring line and proportion over ornament. There are no loud logos and no seasonal noise, only considered pieces intended to feel like a second skin and to sit quietly in your life for years.

Our reference points are the disciplines of fine tailoring and the ease of true rest. The result is a wardrobe that moves with you: fluid where it should be, structured where it counts, and always understated.

Every piece is cut and sewn to order in Türkiye, in small ateliers we know by name. Producing only what has been requested lets us hold a higher standard at every seam and, just as importantly, lets us decline the waste of overproduction. It asks a little patience of you at the outset, and returns a garment that has been made with intention rather than pulled from a warehouse.

From Türkiye we ship worldwide, carrying a long textile heritage into pieces designed for a global wardrobe.

Comfort begins with the cloth. We work with breathable modal, long-staple cotton and soft viscose blends, chosen for the way they fall, the way they feel against the skin, and how they hold their character wash after wash. Our mills are certified to the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, so the fabric that rests closest to you has been tested for harmful substances at every stage.

Good loungewear is deceptively difficult. It has nowhere to hide — no rigid structure to borrow shape from — so it lives or dies by the quality of the cut and the finish. We refine fit across real bodies, specify considered details such as covered elastics and clean bindings, and finish edges to sit softly against the skin. Nothing is decorative for its own sake.

We would rather you buy less and keep it longer. Our pieces are built to survive real life — the wash cycles, the lazy Sundays, the years — and are designed to be cared for simply. Longevity is the truest form of luxury we can offer, and the most responsible.

thelunesse is an independent house, growing deliberately. Each collection is an edit rather than an avalanche, conceived to work together and to earn its place in your wardrobe. We intend to widen slowly and well — always with the same restraint that shaped the first piece.
